Be careful with the strattera is you have high blood pressure or asthma. I ended up in the emergency room when I took one puff of an albuterol inhaler for an asthma attack two weeks after starting strattera. My blood pressure shot up off the charts to some "life threatening" number making me think that I was having a heart attack
. Breathing takes precedence over controlling my mood swings, and they took me off of the strattera immediately. The pdoc knew (well it was on my chart) that I was on asthma meds, and when I found out that this was a known problem, I was disappointed in my new hmo/pdoc.The strattera also made me spacey, and made me noticeably forgetful. Within a week of starting strattera I forgot numerous passwords that I had been using EVERY DAY for months, and some that we were using EVERY DAY that hadn't been changed in over a year.
I couldn't remember birthdays, phone numbers etc.Good luck on it, I've heard that it works wonders for some, and there are no triplicate pharmacy forms.
