In reply to High dose Lamictal questions, posted by Emme on February 22, 2004, at 13:36:29

I have been on 400mg lamictal for 5 months and have not experienced it to be stimulating. In fact even at 300mg it was not stimulating. I am also on lithium, remeron and prozac and so I am uneasy about dropping back to 300mg, but I am not ruling it out. I am just waiting for the lithium, added a month ago, to stabilize. I have read about the diminishing return also at the 300-400mg dose, but have also read of higher doses of 500 to 700mg as a therapeutic dose. Good luck to you and let us know your end result.

It's been a bit harder tell how stimulating it is at 300 mg because I've also been on other things that were either stimulating or calming. Has anyone who found it stimulating/anxiety causing at lower doses found it less so at a higher dose?
