> I am currently taking 300mg of Wellbutrin and 10mg of Lexapro. I do not feel depressed any more. I may experience depression for one day. My anxiety has gone down quit a bit also. However the old nasty side effect of not being able to achieve orgasim is what I am fighting currently. I am going to ask my Dr about adding Buspar. I was wondering if those of you who have used this to augment this s/e could give me some details? Any and all details would be welcomed!! How long did it take to start working? Was it a significant improvement? How else did Buspar effect you? Will it be more relaxing?

I take 300 mgs of Luvox and noticed I couldnt have an orgasm. My P-doc put me on Buspar 10 mgs twice daily----it took about 3 weeks, but, ya it works great. My sexual level is right back to where it was. What SSRI's do is raise serotonin throughout your whole brain. Buspar does decrease serotonin, but the receptor it reduces it at has to do with the side effect of sexual dysfunction, so it works perfectly. This is primarily the receptor in which if it has too much serotonin can cause ssri side effects like anxiety, and sexual dysfunction.
