How do I convince my docs to take me off Desoxyn??

It causes me so much depression lately while I'm on it, I've been off it for 4 days now, and feel much better. But if I tell this to my docs, I'm afraid they'll never prescribe me anything anymore.

I want Adderall, but I told my doc last time that, and he wanted me to stay on Desoxyn for another month at least. Why is it harder to go to Adderall from Desoxyn??
