In reply to Serzone: could it be causing pseudo seratonin WDs?, posted by contemplative1 on March 2, 2004, at 14:32:38
Hi:
In my knowledge, Serzone, like any other ADs, takes awhile to start working on, for that you need to give it a try at least ten days before any noticeable effect. As to the effectiveness of this med., Serzone, ... not like any of SSRIs, is a kind 'weaker effect' on both, depression and anxiety. Then, if your depression is NOT milder form, you need one more med. to augument/boost Serzone Effect. One of suggestive med. is Wellbutrin SR, because WB has stimulant to give you more motivation, energy, concentration and etc. of which Serzone is deficient.
In regard to 'flashback,' .... possibly your system/body reacts a bit 'withdrawal symptom' even after the completion of SSRIs. Or, since Serzone is much weaker in comparison to SSRIs, your brain starts showing some reaction(lack in AD in the system) to the new med., Serzone.
Beside this above, Serzone alone, ... I never heard of, ... unless your depression is quite milder form. Most of cases/depression, you need one more med. to get a good result.
