> i would like to split wellbutrin 100 mg tablets into 2 since it is too strong for me to start with. I like wellbutrin and want to continue taking it but want to start off at a lower dosage. the lowest dosage they have is 75 mg which might still be too strong. thanks!

I've been fine splitting 100 XR (the lowest I can get here) and taking 1/2 - 3/4 (50-75 mg). I've no experience with SR form but expect it would be similar. At that dose, side effects are unlkely to be increased much - for me, reduced if anything. Consult your Dr. or pharmacist if you have ever had a seizure or have any doubts.

BTW, use splits (of _any_ coated pill) within 24 hr. if possible as some meds deteriorate rapidly without their coating.
