Ovcon 35 is a good birth control pill to try. It has the lowest dose of progesterone and it is a different type than in depo-provera. The Nuvaring is a new form of contraception worn "inside" and it has the same type of progesterone as in depo. Well, I tried the Nuvaring and it made me insane. Very depressed, irritable and bloated. My dr. told me it was the progesterone that was causing such side effects. My doctor told me it is very unhealthy to use straight progesterone for birth control. You have to have a balance of estrogen as well. The good form of estrogen is estradiol....good for your brain, heart and bones. REad Dr. Elizabeth Vliet's books "It's My Ovaries, Stupid" and "Screaming to Be Heard".
Good Luck and stay away from Depo-Provera.
