> Abilify gets some glowing reviews. Someone I know inspired me to try it, but my doc preferred to put me on Geodon for reasons unclear. So far I'm not noticing much of a change on Geo, but that too might be an option for you if you find Abilify makes you anxious or kicks you into mania. Its also one of the newer antipsychotics which are not supposed to make you sleepy and fat.
once i got passed the side effects, low dose abilify was a wonder drug for me... NOT for depression, but for mood stability (just like zyprexa but without sedating/making you want to sit down all the time and do nothing) .... it made me really motivated .... i always wanted to do something, keep busy.. it was great!!! ... i was taking 3.75 mg abilify instead of 5 mg zyprexa ..... now i've recently halved my abilify dose, and want to see if i can stay somewhat stable. (i wanted to be a little less stable, as all my friends are really funny and creative and i was rather boring at the higher dose of mood stabilizers in general)no side effects i can think of .... a little insomnia? but when i added parnate, the insomnia went away (also with time it gets a lot better) .... yeah i would definately START LOW GO SLOW
