Help ! anxiety is horrible!

Posted by green hornet on March 25, 2004, at 6:36:44

I am really looking for some feedback here. I am currently experiencing something that is totally new to me in over twenty years of (and on) treatment for depression.
I posted part of this when it first happened. I came off Celexa about two months ago. Then a week or ten days ago I had a really definite case of what I called "the jitters" when I tried to go to sleep. I have been taking Seroquel 100 mgm at bedtime for a couple of years, and used to take the Celexa with it. Because the jittery feeling almost seemed to be an akesthesia (movement) kind of thing I cut my Seroquel in half the next night and everything was fine. Then about three nights ago I experienced the same thing. Both times I drank warm milk and eventually fell asleep.
I saw my doc yesterday and described it to him. He suggested that I try going back up to the 100mgm of Seroquel and see what happened. I did that last night and it was horrible! Not only that but I am STILL experiencing this horrific anxiety this morning. I cannot concentrate, it is taking everything I have just to type this. I am not suicidal, but it really has me "down"! I took my regular meds this AM -- Wellbutrin 200SR and Strattera 40 mgm. I have been on the Wellbutrin at that dose for two or three years and on the Strattera for about six months. The other piece of this is (two things actually) aprox. three days after decreasing the Seroquel the first time I felt BETTER than I had for years,it was incredible! My ravenous appetite was down too. That's another thing,Today I feel as though I have no control over my appetite! I finally had two oranges (after regular breakfast) and that helped a little. I will take the same two meds mid-afternoon.
Any ideas here folks? I feel worse than I have in a LONG time. Pleeeeesee let me know your thoughts. Green Hornet
