Hi Pluto -
Although the half-life of clonazepam is fairly long for a benzodiazepine, it's all long gone from your body after 28 days. Based on my experience (with substance abuse), you'd have experienced a withdrawal syndrome within days. It would seem that you withdrew from Klonopin therapy the proper way - you slowly tapered the dosage down gradually, giving your body time to adjust to less and less of the medicine, then finally not having it present at all. According to a Certified Addictions Counseller associate of mine, benzo withdrawal can be as serious as alcohol withdrawal, especially is abused or taken at high dosages for long periods. You were on a modest dose and you withdrew properly. I'm certain you've no problems coming your way. Congratulations!
> Thanks for your answer. But my basic question still remains. Why there were no withdrawal problems for me? I was actually prepared for some worst days and precautionarily stayed away from my office for a week anticipating something that is horrible. But even after a month and upto this moment, I am absolutely fine, though the original anxiety and thinking problems slowly begins to return. These are definitely not withdrawal symptoms because I started taking clonazepam six years ago for this purpose and that did the job well.
