I have been taking Effexor XR since Jan '01. I was taking 75mg twice a day and lost weight like crazy the first few months and then stabilized. Then my doctor changed my prescription from taking 2 pills twice a day to taking just 1, 150 mg, once a day. Since the change I have gained 20+ lbs in a 6 month period. Has anyone lost weight by quitting the Effexor XR or by decreasing the dosage?
