Wellbutrin, edema, back pain

Posted by simus on April 4, 2004, at 0:07:51

I have been on 150mg of Wellbutrin XL for almost 3 weeks now. The only other thing I take is 1mg Xanax. The Wellbutrin has been very, very effective for me, more so than any of the SSRIs I have taken. My only complaint up to very recently was insomnia.

About a week ago, I noticed a swelling in my feet and ankles. Now it is in my entire legs. It is as bad, if not worse, than when I was pregnant.

Also, over the past three weeks I have developed an increasing aching pain in my lower back. I feel OK sitting or laying down, but I can't stand or walk for long without severe pain. I don't know if this back pain is due to the Wellbutrin, the edema caused by the Wellbutrin, or something entirely different.

Has anyone else noticed any of this on Wellbutrin?
