two very important questions about GEODON

Here's the thing. I thought my Nortriptyline was causing mixed hypomanic states. I quit it 2 night ago. No relief. I still don't know for sure, but the only other culprit could be Geodon. I know the basics but I have some questions.
1. Is this drug really tolerated better at higher doses? I wonder if I should double my current 40 mg.
2. It's touted as one of the cleanest AP's, but can it cause dysphoria and mixed hypomanic states?
I'm checking on mood stabilizers, but my next appt is quite a ways out.
any experience or suggestions appreciated.
