I called my doctor and she told me that lexapro is supposed to get rid of panic attacks not bring them on. But I've never had anything like this before. I thought I was dying or something...it was horrible! Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do to prevent this? I had to stay home from work today cause I feel all shaky and weak...and I'm afraid I'll have another one.

Why do I get the feeling your seeing a family doctor for meds. Even the company that makes lexapro wouldnt suggest 20mgs to start. Sorry but that seems ignorant to me.
