> Thanks a lot!chemist here...no personal experience with XR BUT everything i have heard - doctors, clinical trials - and the short half-life of immediate release xanax (and thus more frequent dosing to prevent roller-coaster ups and downs) is clearly inferior to the XR version from a pharmacological standpoint. that said, be prepared to spend some $$$ (or pounds/euros/other?) for XR, as it is not available as a generic (if you have health insurance, fine).....i wish you the best, chemist
