Blocking serotonin reuptake is a rather blunt action, but I thought that it was agonisation of s-1a (postsynaptic) receptors that caused the increased anxiety. Does agonisation of s-2 receptors cause increased anxiety? Even if it does, antagonisation by fluoxetine would help, not hinder.
