It's tough to give you an exact tapering method or length of time, because as with everything else, it's a purely individual response. Do you have any benzos? Because that "*way* too aware of everything" feeling is anxiety creeping in. I had that same problem and fixed with just a very small dose of Ativan.Like, I said, your tapering time is totally personal and nobody can tell you exactly how to do it. However, I'll give my tapering schedule as an example of what worked for me. I was at 60mg and immediately dropped down to 45mg and stayed on that for about a week. I then dropped down to 30mg for 4 days and then 15mg for 3 days and finally took 15mg every other day for 4 days, and then just stopped. I guess it sounds like it was pretty fast, but my body is pretty used to coming off meds, as I've done it pretty often.
I had weird sensations in my head like a feeling of unbalance and it seemed as though I was gonna blackout even though I kept telling myself it was just anxiety. I had the terrible dreams too. I thought they'd never end, but I'm pretty sure it was only like 4 days, and then *poof* they were gone. All my withdrawal symptoms just went away as quickly as they started and it took me a moment to realize it.
Sorry this is so long, but I just want you to know that these feelings won't last forever, although it sucks right now. You'll be feeling fine soon enough, and if you're at all like me, you'll be so excited to find that that extra weight you gained mysteriously begins to just melt off without much effort, when Nardil is out of your system. :)
