Lamictal flush

I took my first dose of Lamictal today (25 mg) and tonight my face looks flushed. I'm also slightly itchy in some areas. Is this normal? What exactly do I look out for with the rash? Maybe this is the wrong med for someone like me because I always worry about illness, etc.
