hello there, chemist here....glycine receptors are homologous with neuronal nicotine receptors, a sub-class of 5-HT receptors, and GABA type A receptors....it's late for me, and i'm signing off, but the chances (based on structural/sequence homology) that glycine receptors are implicated in schizophrenia are quite high, based on my work with the other ligand-gated ion channels mentioned previously. let me do my homework, and bother me tomorrow if you don't hear back....all the best, chemist
