I am on Effexor & Remeron, I have not gained any weight & since I am happier I have started to improve my eating habits. Remeron is mostly a sleep aid that also counteracts SSRI side effects & I recommend it to all who have some kind of insomnia. It's antidepressant abilities are weak & it's anxiolytic abilities are mild, but on the positive side it is easy to give it up. It's best useage would be as an adjunct to Effexor or SSRI thearpy that it working but having side effects(insomnia, nausea & anorgasmia)
