does SAM-E has the same strength of stanard AD's?

Ive read in a couple articles using google, that SAM-E can be conpared with some TCA's. Is this really true.
I took it for about a week, at the very end i noticed a diffrence, a bit, well alot more than that st. johns wort junk.
I have a another post on St. Johns Wort, basically all its compared to is a placebo.
So this is good, that we have a better antidepressant you can conviently buy at the store.
Does anyone else have opinions? or if you had successful trials?
