Hi Group!
I been treated for depression for almost two years now and have had socail anxiety for most of my adult life. I initially went through most of the anti drepressants and could not tolerate them until I tried Effexor. New Psy doc also added Wellbutrin for anxiety plus Loraz., which I had been using off and on for about 4 years. The lorazepam has almost stopped having any
effectiveness at all. I am hoping for a switch at next appointment. Main question is initially I was on Effexor at 150 mg. and really started to feel upbeat again and looking ahead...all those good things...About 6 weeks ago, I was hit with a major bout of depression...all the standard symptons...and I thought I was doing well!....psy doc added 75mg more of Effexor and I felt better for about two weeks and now the depression and anxiety is back to crisis stage. I am almost unable to work, can not attend meetings.all I want to do is climb back in bed with inthe dark,basically falling apart at the seems. Has anyone else had Effexor poop out after 2 years? Has anyone switched from Effexor to Lexapro? I know all about the withdrawl effects from Effexor, I tried to quit one time on my own, it was horrible. But I feel like now might be the time to switch. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!
