I was on prozac for a while to deal with the same things, anxiety and depression. I started out at 10 mg's for the first week then went up to 40 over the course of the next 4 weeks. Prozac's side effects include decreased sexual arousal, insomnia, headaches, anxiety increase, decreased appetite. Most of the side effects will subside about week 4 or 5 and you should receive maximum benefit from Prozac by week 8. I found that the increased anxiety I felt was to much so my Pdoc switched me to Lexapro.
When do you take your Prozac?(morning or evening)
I assume you feel groggy in the morning from the Klonopin since it will have a mild sedative effect, this should decrease as your body get's used to it. I take 1 mg of Klonopin daily most of it before I go to bed. I have been feeling groggy in the morning to but I think most of it is due to the fact I just started taking Lexapro.
Talk to you Doctor but if you are still depressed you might want to increase your Prozac. I have found Klonopin to be great for anxiety and to help sleeping, another option is taking Xanax before you go to bed. It has a shorter half life than Klonopin so you may not feel as groggy in the morning. Xanax can be addicting so you'll want to be careful but it may be a short term option. Hope this helps.
