What chemically causes Anxiety in the brain?

Posted by 1980Monroe on June 3, 2004, at 23:17:47

Well anyone could assume that its too much electrical firing going on in the nerve synapse, but i think its more than that, and deals something with neurotransmitters.

I have trembling anxiety, sometimes i feel i have stomach ulcers, adn throw up. A stable life is forbidden to me, when i work at my dad's firm, GOD, its like im a storm that causes chaos everywhere, and get my butt chewed out all the time. Done trials with alot of tranquilizers that are placebo's to me, and actually just make my preformance worse, Xanax, Miltown, Ativan, adn phenobarbital, they all just make me do worse in office work, causeing me to get Chewed out more.

Really the only thing that is an effective anti-anxiety for me is dexedrine, whcih is really ironic because its a stimulant, well it just calms my mind down and i guess just focus tuning out other worries ,I have ADD to the maximum, but its not ment to treat anxiety in the first place.

Can someone tell me the mechanism of anxiety in the first place?
