My experience of selegiline alone is that it is mildly stimulatory at this dose, meaning that I feel a more energised, focussed, & perhaps slightly more assertive. The subjective experience is certainly milder than 5mg of dexamphetamine and isn't particularly euphoric. I feel alerted, cognitively a bit sharper, and not notably drugged.
Bear in mind that 2.5mg sublingually is probably equivalent to 10mg or more orally. Indeed studies have been done with a specially formulated ("Zydis wafer") form of selegline optimized for buccal absorption which show that in this form 1.25mg of selegiline is roughly equivalent to 10mg of selegiline taken orally ( see http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=14628189)
On top of this the phenylalanine seems to add a dimension of general well-being, which I think of as being principally an anti-depressant effect. I would say the feeling is mildly anxiolytic and gives a feeling of confidence. I think this is enhanced somewhat by chromium. I think as well that the chromium has diminished my level of carbohydrate and chocolate craving.
