In reply to Has Serozone Been banned yet?, posted by 1980Monroe on June 19, 2004, at 22:37:00
Let me get something across to you ok ? In the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Serzone/Nefazodone has NOT been banned. The makers of SERZONE, Bristol Myers Squibb simply pulled it off the market for business reasons, cause there is (8) Generic Companies making Serzone which is called Nefazodone. My Doctor has switched me to NEFAZODONE, the Generic Equivalent, and I must say it is good, it works as good if not BETTER than the Serzone in my opinion. There is no plans for the FDA to ban Nefazodone. The pressure groups want it banned, but no matter what they say, they cannot FORCE the FDA. FDA feels the liver risk is remote, and the warning is sufficient. PLEASE DON'T THINK IT HAS BEEN BANNED, in Canada yes, but USA has not banned it. Nefazodone is available, I just got mine yesterday ; )
Sincerely - Tony C.
