I don't quite follow you. I take Desoxyn, and have for over a year. All amphetamines are abusable, and "scary" if someone has an abuse problem. Same goes for Ritalin.
What concerns me is why you think you need it. Is there a side effect you experience on Ritalin that makes it intolerable? Try the other amphetamines first, or Straterra for awhile, or both. But Desoxyn is something you take after trying the others and not having controlled your ADD symptoms still.
I'm not giving you a "log" of how I feel on Desoxyn, because I'm not sure it's possible to account for its effects in such detail. And frankly, it doesn't sound like that would help you directly control your ADD symptoms. These aren't smart drugs-- they have annoying side effects, and are something to avoid unless you have very serious ADD that you haven't yet controlled in spite of a commitment to following your doc's advice, therapy, and not acting like these are wonder drugs to account for great effects.
It's not a miracle drug. I've had to start Remeron just to eat food on stims.
And please, call it Desoxyn. Methamphetamine is so poorly understood for therapuetic purposes, it's best not to advertise it like it's the same thing as the adulterated trash on the street. One's white, the other's the color of vomit...
