> I have been on 300mg of Trileptal taken at bedtime for about a month. During this month I have been more anxious and more depressed. I was going to just stick it out and continue taking the medication until I see my pdoc on the 9th of July. Today I am thinking differently. I seem to be getting confused. For instance, I asked my mother where the garbage can for my bathroom was. It was there all the time but I swear I didn't see it. I forgot to fill my car up with gas. Just little things that I never do. The biggest problem is that I am so much more depressed and anxious and it feels like my blood pressure has bottomed out and my heart races at times. Can these symptoms be attributed to the Trileptal? Should I just take myself off of it? My pdoc is hard to get a hold of and I certainly won't get in touch with her this weekend but I don't know if I can take another day of this.

> God help me.hello there, chemist here...not god...please do not stop taking trileptal cold-turkey. cognitive impairment is not uncommon, nor is hypotension. if you can make it to monday for an emergency visit - or get the p-doc who should be on call - do so. you will have to slowly wean yourself from trileptal. is this the olny medication you are taking? all the best, chemist
