What are the functions in the role of dopamine?

Posted by 1980Monroe on June 26, 2004, at 19:51:47

I've researched dopamine and norepeinephrine play a main role in survival in general, such as feeding, motivation, and ambition, sexual desire. I dont know exactly if dopamine acts in feeding, and hunger, i think serotonin has some with that too.

Low amounts of dopamine, (well not to the extreme where it will result in parkinson's diesase) can cause a "burn out" sensation, and find nothing intersting anymore.

Maybe a theory is people who start companies, organizations, have a drive towards something, an are strongly dopamine driven.

Anyways, but anyone out there who really knows alot about this, i would like to know. Thanks
