switching to a new SSRI- terrified

Hello, I am switching from Lexapro 12.5 mgs to 200 mgs of Luvox. My PDOC has instructed me to go down to 5 mgs of Lexapro for 4 days, then switch to 50 MGS of Luvox for 5 days, and so on until I hit 200. The mere idea of lowering my dose and having my depression/anxiety increase as well as deal withdrawal symptoms is making my skin crawl! How can I make this easier! I'm terrified.
