They are cardiotoxic which can cause arrhythmias & sinus tachycardia, they increase NE which naturally causes higher heart rate & they are Alpha-1 NE blockers which cause orthostatic hypotension & reflex tachycardia. If a heart doctor took you off Nort, it might be due to sinus tachycardia which is deadly.
