Sebastian, I will tell you this I take 200mg a day for 7 years 100X 2 Daily. 3 years ago I went cut 2nd afternoon dose in 1/2 I took 150mg for 5 days and felt like I was going to die an agaonizing death, no lie. Doctor at time told me it was "MIND TRICKS" to him I say BULLCRAP !!! I could not turn my eyes by day #5 and my left leg was becoming completely unattached feeling to my body, an ODD and scary sensation. The vision was jumpy and felt as though my eyes were jumping in the pupils a FRIGHTNING and scary sensation at the time. I resumed reg dose and in 48 hours I was fine. So I knew it was the drug. I did research and learned of Withdrawal people were suffering, and discontinuation symptoms from reducing to quick which I did, or quitting cold turkey. So I knew that is what I was experiencing from coming down to fast. The Pharmacist just chuckled and said "OH you weren't dying you were just coming down to fast for you, you need to go slower" he was the ONLY one that seemed to believe me. Anyhow recently I cut down filing afternoon dose about 5 mg for a week, then 10 then 20 I was down about 20mg to 180 and doing ok over a month, but STILL had some stiffness in my neck and shoulders, and wrists and legs, and was sleeping a little less, but still felt rested. The tremory feeling scared me up to 200mg a day, I chickened out cause people kept telling me to do it under a DOCTORS care. Which I will next time. I still felt alot better than the 50mg a day reduction, so LOW and SLOW is what I need, even if it take 1 year to 2 years. THE BIGGEST AND BEST RESULT OF MY REDUCTION FOR 1 MONTH WAS ----> : ) FINALLY !!! After 7 NUMB years, I had a DESIRE for sex with my spouse, I was thinking about it, not like the pre depression, pre Serzone days, but ENOUGH to make me REALLY Notice. I was looking at the opposite sex more in a manly way, not a perverted way, guys you know what I mean, my LIBIDO was breaking through, I was also Ejaculating harder and with more force, waking up with morning wood ; ) Sorry if I am being gross, I do not mean to be, I am just excited to know that my libido is still in there, they say Serzone/Nefazodone is easy on the Libido, NOT FOR ME !!! - I just Discovered that the 200mg a day is TRULY Making me HYPO SEXUAL DESIRE sufferer. As I resumed it, I feel more relaxed but positively NO libido again it is horrible. So I ask if there is liquid, so I can have my Doctors guidance and approval. This is my GAME PLAN ........ I will tell Doc of my 1 moth Experiment and how the Benefit was my libido started to break through. So I want to ask if he can lower me down to about 190 or 180 a day instead of 200, that way I can still have enough to get some help with Clin Depression and PTSD that got me on it 7 years ago, but might help me crave my wife again, by the way she is not ugly LOL. I am just meaning a desire is what I want. Sound like a reasonable goal that can be achieved under a Doctors watchful eye ? Also Sebastian, 3 days ago, I missed my afternoon 100mg tablet for the whole day, and I felt like crap, vivid BIZARRE nightmares, some noticable insomnia, feeling detached from whats going on around also. I mean this stuff to me, after missing a whole dose sounds about as bad as an Effexor user missing a dose one day. SERZONE/NEFAZODONE has a short half life, I can't believe they are not aware of the crap you feel when you miss a whole dose. Thank you Sebastian for your replies.
