> I have been taking Remeron 30mg for almost two years now. I am trying to reduce the number of medications I have to take. I was prescribed the Remeron in conjunction with Lexapro to combat severe OCD and depression. My Lexapro has been increased to 60mg. I know that SSRI's are the first line of defense for OCD. The Remeron just mainly makes me sleepy. So I use it as a sleep aid. But I am not sure if it helps with my OCD symptoms are not.

>Remeron by itself isn't much of AD, but it does give a great nights sleep which makes a good foundation. Remeron can also cover some of the side effects caused by SSRI's. It's not hard to go off Remeron, so you could easily see what life is like without it. You will probably get some rebound insomnia, a few days of benzos will get you through that with ease.
