What other meds have you tried?Over the years, I have seen that the TCAs were the antidepressants most frequently chosen for IBS. Among other properties, perhaps the anticholinergic effects of these drugs help to reduce GI motility. I would think imipramine would be the best in this regard. Low dosages are used.
