Hi:
I too have been on the Zyprexa regimen along with other meds. due to Bp II with ultra-rapid cycler.
In the beginning of Zyprexa, I had NO weight gain to worry about. One reason was I was just 2.5 mg. and then 5 mg. for the past three years or so.

One thing about which I noticed through my med. regimen, it seems there are NO good 'anti-psycho. meds.' in terms of 'weight issue.' In my case, 'two' A.D.s, Wellbutrin SR/Generic form and Nefadozone/Serzone seems giving a good 'brake' to NOT gain substantial pounds. However, for the last a half year, without any clues, I started to gain a weight, not bad but still not happy about this. In my search on alternative A.P. seems quite slim/dim because most of 'potent. A.P., such as Zyprexa and Risperdal has WEIGHT problem. Just, Abilify and Geodon has 'weight neutral/no weight.' However, those two APs has other 'notorious' problems, insomnaia and stimulating/acitivating problem, except Geodon that is a sort miler in that respect, but still annoying.

Somewhere here in Internet, I read that Eli Lilly that produces Zyprexa working VERY hard on this issue/weight problem. Then, in near future, ... there is the 'New' form of the Zyprexa which has 'magic' on weight problem.
H.G.
