In reply to Re: help with stimulants (kind of long), posted by mmcconathy on August 18, 2004, at 20:30:58

i've read in several places that there is an interaction between lithium and adderall-- that lithium makes adderall less effective, maybe by inhibiting its absorption? has anyone taken the two together? if it's true, what are some remedies? i've been thinking of switching to lamictal, but i think lithium is really the best mood stabilizer for me, and even if i switch over, i'll still be on lithium for awhile. would a higher dose of adderall work? are there other stimulants that won't interact with lithium? thanks!
