hello there, chemist again....i am baffled. parnate is more or less well-known for being on the stimulating side, and this is from my experience and the anecdotal ones related to this and other MAOIs. there is more than a bit of orthostatic hypotension associated with it: could this be a contributing factor? i am aware of the list of ``common adverse effects'' that does include fatigue and drowsiness. perhaps backing off and reintroducing at a slower rate - and lower dose - could help, as you might be predisposed *personally* to lean towards the more sedating effects. why don't you see who else from the board - i would suggest flagging King Vultan, Sad Panda, zeugma, linkadge, and ace - has some thoughts, as i can only guess that you are a bit sensative to the drug or it is not appropriate for you. i believe SLS and Larry Hoover are also up-to-speed on alternatives. sorry i can not be of more help, other than to point you towards those who are more consistant in answering queries regarding MAOIs......apologies, and i do wish you all the best, chemist
