meds and increase in physical illness

Posted by seamus on August 24, 2004, at 16:41:01

My current cocktail-- 1mg Risperdal, 20mg Lexapro-- has worked wonders on my BPII but seems to have left me with a decreased ability to fight off infections.
Typically, I get a cold maybe once a year. Since I added Lexapro to the Risperdal 6 months ago I have have enjoyed 2 gastrointenstinal viruses and 3 colds.
I am certain this is not a coincidence. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced such a problem. Any suggestions other than discontinuing the aforementioned meds-- sorry, but after years of trial and error I am not willing to give up this magical combination.
Thanks.
