In reply to anyone try beta blockers for anxiety?, posted by Racer on September 6, 2004, at 14:33:23

My anxiety has a strong physical component. I have found atenolol helpful for symptoms such as jitteriness, somewhat fast pulse, intense anxiety in certain situations. (I was, of course, checked for thyroid and other problems.) My blood pressure was around 110/70 to begin with. The beta blocker drops it, but not enough to cause major problems.
