Is mixing Benzo's Okay?

My husband thinks I should not mix benzo's. If anyone has read my prev. posts they would know that my pdoc took me from 3mg daily of klonopin to 1.5mg daily of ativan. So, anyway, I have been taking klon. to sleep because the .5 mg of ativan doesnt seem to help...(wonder why?) But anyway, its not going to hurt me if i take klonopin and ativan is it??
