I have been taking Effexor XR 150mg for 2 1/2 months. I will be asking my pdoc next week to change my meds because the weight gain is absolutely intolerable for me. My appetite has increased but in an effort to lose weight my eating has been healthy and I am excersing. I am growing larger by the day.

I had hoped Effexor would help me by taking aware the desire to drink. Unfortunately not. I drink every day. Since Effexor, my ability to remember things when drinking is zero.

I have had a few brain shivers but they are not alarming to me. I do experience sudden sharp, tingling or prickling sensations on various parts of my body. It also sometimes feels like a flea is crawling on me. When I look there's nothing there.

My motivation has not increased or improved since taking Effexor.

I could go on and on with my side effects. I posted a list of my 17 SE's on an earlier thread above.

You are not alone with the side effects and I wonder how fair you doc was in saying "it's normal for you"? It is a completely normal side effect experienced by millions.

Take care
Sabrina
