Ritalin works well for all of my symptoms but sometimes the irritability manages to break through especially during the wearing off period. And sometimes i get really dreadful "lows" at the end of the day. Would something like Zyprexa at low dose help with this. I cannot tolerate ANY of the SSRI's . They seem to do ONLY 2 things:

Hi aazospiro,Zyprexa is anti-dopamine & may block some of the positive effects of Ritalin & other stimulants. I would recommend trying Nortriptyline, it is an older antidepressant of the TCA variety that works by being an norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor & has no effect as an SRI. It also has a long half life & would smooth over the lows when Ritalin is wearing off.
Cheers,
Paul.
