Cymbalta Day 7 - Up to 60mg

Posted by invisiblemanpa on October 19, 2004, at 5:58:40

Just a note to pass along for all of those interested in switching to Cymbalta. Today will be day 7 for me. I have had zero physical side effects. I had really troubing insomnia while coming off the dreaded Effexor XR. Knock on wood, two nights ago I slept for 9 hours and last night for almost 8! I hope the trend continues. I have been feeling a little bit more depressed. I hope it passes quickly as I increase to 60mg this morning. I am not feeling energized or "happy" yet, maybe a little less anxiety, as I feel less of a need to take Klonopin. But I have had the energy in the morning to continue my exercise routine. I still am power napping in the afternoons. Then I wake up feeling a little more depressed than early in the day. This seems to have been the trend for me as my Effexor was increased then as I weaned myself off. I am anxious to return to my new family dr. this week and find out if my cholesterol has started to return to normal levels after ditching the Effexor and adding Omega 3 and Niacin. I still have the highest hopes for Cymbalta. When I return to the Psy. Doc on the 26 for a Cymbalta checkup with the nurse, I hope to also ditch the Remeron. Maybe then I can start to drop some weight! Have an awesome day...Hang in there! Peace, Love & Happiness!
