> JustinIntially when I used to take it I became very happy, even at doses of 0.5mg for the first time. It had an antidepressant effect. ( That might be the result of blocking presynaptic 5HT2 increasing the amount of dopamine available. It might also have something to do with freeing up more dopamine for the other postsynaptic DA receptors, rather than D2. ) It was stimluating on even 2mg, but the effects wore off especially when it was taken in the morning and not at night.
I got the hallucination at the 3mg dose of Risperidal. I'm not sure why.I've been off the medications and going through the apathy and annhedonia I mention, along with what appear to be tardive stereotypies for 3 weeks. It's a very difficult withdrawal, I suffer from emotional outbursts then returns to apathy now I tried taking 0.5mg today to see if it would have the same effect and I got nothing. Just a complete fog.
