I can't seem to find the original post to this thread, but I assume someone would like to know about peoples' experiences with Luvox. I added Luvox to Wellbutrin to reduce anxiety and obsessiveness. I started taking it over a year ago and it has been a very good medication for me. It costs me $60 per month with my insurance, but my mental health is worth it. Since I started taking it I have felt very normal. I care about things, I have ups and downs, and I don't obsess. Plus, I have been able to end my 3 years of psychotherapy.

If there's one thing I've learned over the many years I've been on this board and on antidepressants, everyone responds differently to antidepressants and there is no way to tell how you will respond except to try the medication. If it doesn't work, move on to the next one.

Danny, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. I have a 12 year old who has had her share of anxiety and depression and I think it's so sad that people so young are burdened with such a terrible disease. I hope that you will be able to get into a rehab program and then try other medications. There has to be an answer out there besides taking substances that alter reality and make you violent.
