Hi...I was diagnosed bipolar, and was put on Symbyax....I found it to be abosolutely fantastic!! I slept like I had never slept before, and I felt a difference in myself within a week. This drug, it was told to me by my doctor, should make you feel a little better every day (if it's the right drug for you, of course) I was taking that along with Lamictal...for a little energy during the day. I thought I had found the promise land, until....i started gaining tremendous weight. Weight gain is the number 1 side effect with this pill. It was approved in 1993...and was the first pill to be FDA approved to treat bipolar disorder (this is what I read) So...I had no side effects with this pill except for the weight gain....and I had to stop the pill after 4 months. Hope this Helps....
