I find "grey" better than black,
and certainly better than red, or
different colours hitting you at the
same time altogether like a kaleidoscope.I hate taking drugs. I have asked
my dr. if i could stop. Nope. And when
i did try on my own, it was very hard
and impossible.From what i read and from friends's experience,
i think we need a good drug with no
side effects for all affective disorders.In the meantime, the one with the least
side effects is the best you can hope for.I rely on authority and take it on faith
that the drugs are not withdrawn on account
of the underlying disease looming up.But I have read Dr. Mogens Schou (see
his brochure on the Practical Guide to
Manic Depression) and others
and that is not necessarily the case - at least
that was not how affective disorders were
viewed 50 yrs. ago. Few really wants
to take a risk with the side effects of
discontinuation being so awful and protracted
