Perhaps there is also a tie-in with a similar kind of mechanism responsible for the weight gain with SSRIs and Effexor (for those susceptible to this). I do not believe there is a histamine blockade as the tricyclics and Remeron have, at least not a particularly powerful one. I'd like to know what the actual percentage of people who experience weight gain on Nardil is. For the SSRIs and Effexor, the range appears to be about 17-22%, based on a recent Consumer Report article and survey.
