can xanax stimulating?

I read in an article that alrprazolam (xanax) and lorazepam (ativan) where compared in there effects.

Said something about increasing some dopamine levels only with alprazolam.

does Xanax have mood-lifting properties? i would think a sedative would cause the mood to feel "flat"

How can a tranquilizer be stimulating?
