> Yes -- Reduce the strattera dosage to 40 mg. Zoloft is a DA/HT agonist. Strattera is a DA/NE agonist. You are likely experiencing an excess of dopamine -- examples of other side effects of this chemical imbalance can include any number of and more of the following: increased anxiety, abnormal thought patterns, obsessivity, delusions, avoidant behavior, hallucinations , and psychosis.

I'm not sure I agree with your DA theory, as Zoloft only has weak effects on dopamine reuptake. FWIW, I've found that meds that work strongly on norepinephrine, such as desipramine, do tend to make me more emotional and cry more easily. As Strattera is also a selective NE reuptake inhibitor, it might induce a similar response, but only for the subset of the population that reacts to these meds as I do. Also, sometimes people can experience a transitory depression after increasing the dosage of an antidepressant; this may simply be a stage in the drug's function that will have to be worked through and will eventually pass. I do agree it's important to keep in contact with one's doctor regarding any problems one is having.Todd
